Founded in 1934, FLASA, Filature de Laine peignée d'Ajoie SA, is now a company exporting most of its production. This family owned company was created by Edouard Six, who originated from North of France where his family was active in textile since 1850. Today, the company is managed by André-Jean Six, founder's grandson.

Initially founded to serve the Swiss market, Flasa became over the years a mainly export orientated company. 90% of the production is exported to the five continents.

Pure wool specialist, Flasa developed a recognized knowledge in washable wool. It initiated with Dylan shrinkproof treatment, then with Woolmark machine washable treatment. Today, Total Easy Care and soft Total Easy Care are treatments that allow production of machine washable articles, which can also be tumble dried.

Since several years and to answer endless market evolution, Flasa has developed yarns made of technical fibres, in association or in replacement of wool. This gave us the posibility to target new markets.
